Truly new solutions are born at the crossing points –  where diverse opinions, experience, resources and expertise are mixed well. The capacity to build working relationships and synergies – on individual, organisational and community level – become crucial for embracing the most pressing challenges in a constantly changing context. Big transformations often start with small changes in the ways we are together, meet, form partnerships, plan and work.

This is the sixth Art of Hosting training in Bulgaria – a powerful practice, applied internationally, for working in complexity, creating sustainable change and building strong communities. We invite you to become part of our community of practice, active since 2013. We believe that our society and organisations now need new approaches to work that are more humane, just and that lead to sustainable results. We learn constantly from each other and build on our common practice. We try living the Art of Hosting in our everyday contexts – corporate, non-governmental organisations, local communities, educational institutions, in our entrepreneurial activities or even with our neighbours.

THIS TRAINING IS FOR YOU, IF:

  • You are looking for new approaches to your work, beyond traditional project management;

  • You know that you cannot succeed alone and want to build on your skills to engage and work with diverse groups of partners, colleagues and supporters;

  • You have a project or initiative, that is dependant on the quality of relationships;

  • You have experienced the power of Art of Hosting methods and you are curious to learn more…

WHAT IS ART OF HOSTING?

Participatory Leadership (The Art of Hosting Conversations that Matter) is a practice based on methods and mental models that together create the right conditions for all the ideas, opinions and skills of a group of people to emerge in a creative way, especially when new solutions are needed. It is the outcome of a 15-year process aiming at the development of its theoretical base as well as its practical application worldwide –and it is offered by an international network of practitioners and consultants. Art of Hosting is based on self-organization principles, participation and non-linear solutions with an emphasis on individual and collective progress.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • Theory, methods and practical tools that can help you to create work which is meaningful for you, your stakeholders and the whole ecosystem.

  • Laboratory for practicing collaboration where you can bring your ideas, projects and challenges to work on, co create with others and to find ways to apply the learning in your own contexts after the training.

  • A space for meeting people with similar values and ideas and learning from their stories and experiences.

THE TEAM

Your hosting team is a group of experienced trainers and entrepreneurs working in participation theory and practice worldwide who are themselves inquiring and experimenting with creating meaningful work through collaboration.

Some examples of our recent work include:

  • Working with corporations, non-profit organisations and governmental institutions to help them create shared visions for strategic development;

  • Designing and leading long-term participatory processes with various stakeholders;

  • Deciding to create our own meaningful work and taking the financial risks of creating and collaborating to develop it.
