Often, we assume these participatory models are exclusively relevant to grassroots non-profits or intentional communities. However, the necessity for collaborative problem-solving has steadily permeated highly commercial environments. Traditional corporate structures are discovering that top-down mandates consistently fail to generate the deep engagement required to sustain modern digital ecosystems.
