Designing Strategic Change from the Inside Out

Designing Strategic Change from the Inside Out

209 209 people viewed this event.

This is for leaders and change-makers who want to deepen and expand their understanding of strategic, systemic change. It is a hands-on opportunity to design your own change project, informed by principles and practices from the Art of Hosting, Coming Into Your Own, and the experience of seasoned practitioners working in diverse fields.

Good design uses existing structures, hierarchies, constraints, and resources while creating a generative space for emerging opportunities. Effective leadership begins “inside,” with stillness, clear-seeing, and attunement to unfolding dynamics, and moves outwards to strategies and actions that lead us towards our goals. This track will help you move beyond either/or thinking so that you can access both sides of the power equation: the power of the visible and the power of the invisible.

You will leave with a deeper understanding and practical tools for
• convening stakeholders
• designing interventions
• incorporating diverse voices and lenses
• working with stuck power dynamics and resistance to change
• combining collaborative and hierarchical leadership styles
