Art of Participatory Leadership

How can we re-think our approach to leadership, to grow our businesses, teams, organisations or communities, and bring all of our humanity to work?

What skills and capacities do we need to be flexible and sustainable in the future?

What do times of great complexity and change mean for the type of leadership that we need to practice?

The Art of Participatory Leadership training offers simple and powerful participatory models, processes and practices to work with complexity, uncertainty and change.

If you want to explore these questions and learn new ways of working in deep collaboration with others, you are warmly invited to join us.

What will we explore, learn & practice?

  • The Art of Hosting Conversations That Matter as a core leadership framework, practice and skill set.
  • Simple and powerful social tools such as: Circle, World Café, Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space Technology, ProAction Café, Designing for Wiser Action, storytelling and more.
  • Complementary models and frameworks including complexity theory and practice, and self-managed organisations
  • Authentic leadership and working with emergence
  • Real world application

Who is it for?

  • Community and non-profit leaders, social entrepreneurs, business leaders, department heads and program managers, community organisers, next generation leaders and individuals who want to help.
  • People who want to explore the power of collective creativity, intelligence, and collaboration to improve their communities, teams, and organisations.
  • Individuals and groups who are eager to build stronger teams and partnerships with each other and within their communities.

We look forward to welcoming you, your questions, your projects and your contributions.

Participation fees – a sliding scale

$A500–a$900 (excluding GST)

An important learning we have been working with is how to appreciate and honour the diversity of economic factors that would encourage people to join us in participatory leadership work.

We invite you to be in this learning with us as we look to cover all costs, contribute to the economy of the international community and pay a reasonable fee to the hosts of the training.

We offer a sliding scale of $A500a$900 (excluding GST) that will include participation in the 3 day training, food and resources and encourage you to consider how you can be part of this amazing experience.

You get to decide what you consider to be a fair price, or within your training budget, and then we request that you consider offering a little more which could support others to attend.

If this is still beyond your capacity, please talk to us, or indicate this on your registration form.

Help us walk our talk to assist as many willing people as possible to attend.

Venue: Walkabout Creek, 60 Mount Nebo Road, The Gap
