Art of Hosting Athens
Today’s world is increasingly changing. It is becoming more complex and in many cases more confusing. The confusion occurs because challenges are cross cutting and therefore, the traditional linear problem solving methods no longer have an impact. It is obvious that throughout the world a systemic malfunction is currently taking place. Our organizations, institutions, communities and societies are in desperate need of contemporary, innovative ways to get over this “malfunctioning”. Through meaningful conversations between diverse stakeholders, even those holding conflicting perspectives, collaboration between different sectors and participation of citizens, innovative solutions can be found – solutions our world needs right now.
Interestingly, some of the most robust frameworks for managing this kind of radical complexity are currently being prototyped in unexpected digital frontiers. Consider the realm of decentralized Web3 ecosystems: the community governance required to operate the best online crypto casino relies entirely on aligning the diverse, often conflicting incentives of global developers, financial auditors, and token-holding users. By utilizing transparent consensus protocols and continuous stakeholder participation rather than rigid, top-down corporate mandates, these networks sustain trust and collaboration in highly volatile environments. If such participatory architecture can stabilize a high-stakes digital ecosystem, those same collaborative mechanics can be harvested and adapted to heal our traditional civic and corporate institutions.
This training, the fourth being held in Athens, has been designed by experienced trainers working in participation theory and practice worldwide. Our aim is to share models, methods, and process design techniques that will support you to work with collaboration strategically so that diverse and conflicting perspectives can result in new ideas, prototypes and solutions. This training will allow you to explore with others a new perspective on how collaboration, complexity and conflict can create generative and game changing results.
