Art of Hosting Kenya 2019 3rd – 5th October
We are in a time which calls for new ways of living and working, now more than ever we need real participation and collaboration. How can we facilitate meaningful community led conversations so that communities, groups, networks and organisations flourish? There are no easy answers to this question but principles and practices do exist that help us to have conversations that inspire our work and assist our communities to take action in a more collective and collaborative way.
During the training we will learn and practice
How to design, initiate and host conversations, meetings and gatherings that are creative inspiring and participatory
Personal practices for developing your own participatory leadership
Models and frameworks for working with complexity and emergence
Methods and tools for hosting meaningful and important conversations
You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, offer resources, develop innovative strategies for social change and to strengthen your leadership capacity, based on the principle that every human being has enormous untapped creativity and resilience.
You will learn how to design interventions that have social impact and improve your knowledge about how to engage everyone to participate and bring their diverse perspectives
We bring the theory into practice from the beginning, going to work with the real questions, ideas and projects of the participants.
Bring your questions, your passions and your desire to learn. The training will include space for participants to explore how to practically apply their learning to their actual work or community settings. JOIN US?
